![]() ![]() We hope you enjoy it, and appreciate the hard work that our team brings to the Transformers community. In celebration of 20 years since Beast Wars aired in North America, Karyuudo Fansubs is proud to present to you this special and rare release. And last but not least, we’d like to make a big thank you to our translator, Takae, who felt that this release would not be complete without being subtitled in English for Western audiences. We would also like to thank Primal Sabbath for his assistance with identifying each of the clips shown during the ending sequence of Convoy’s Great Transformation, as well as Micchan’s assistance with the Japanese credits, so that it was possible to recreate them in its entirety. Using these sources, along with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro to recreate everything including the ending credits from scratch, we have put together a version which is extremely comparable to a DVD retail copy. ![]() This project was created using existing footage included from the Music Matrix DVD (courtesy of Rockman666), the North American Beast Wars DVD Box sets, as well as a digitally captured copy from the VHS release of Convoy’s Great Transformation (courtesy of Walruslaw). The special was presented during the 1999 Summer Toei Anime Fair (年99夏東映アニメフェア) with two other anime shows, Tiny Giant Microman: Great Battle! Microman VS the Unstoppable Gorgon (小さな巨人ミクロマン 大激戦! ミクロマン VS最強ゴルゴン) and Super Doll Liccachan: Liccachan's Stalemate! Miracle of the Doll Knights (スーパードール ★リカちゃん リカちゃん絶体絶命!ドールナイツの奇跡). For reasons unknown, this special was never released as a DVD version. The version you see presented here is a reconstructed version based on the VHS only release that was done in Japan. There's also a Gallery mode but I haven't unlocked anything there yet, so know knows what that is.Beast Wars Metals: Convoy’s Great Transformation, is the Japanese dub of the season 3 episode of Beast Wars titled, Cutting Edge. Oh, the ads! If you wait at the title screen the game will play old Microman ads for you-sure they're low-res and really compressed, but the kitsch value is off the charts. Summary: Classic 1976 manga adaptation of the 1974-1984 Japanese action figure series, Microman (aka Micronauts in the west). On Hard difficulty, your Microman will die in three hits, and things get rather tough. On the default Easy difficulty the game is a breeze, but takes a surprisingly long time to unlock all the Micromen and gun through all the rooms. There's also tons of voice acting and such. Then, in some rooms, you'll go through different phases of the combat, and the camera switches seamlessly to a FMV pan that takes it from one position to the next. ![]() The backgrounds are for the most part static FMV shots, pretty sharp looking but with neat lighting-blur effects, sorta Tron-ish at times. Simple, yes? But the presentation is quite interesting. If you're lucky, enemies will drop weapons or health items. You also have a rolling dodge, and a number of room-filling bombs. 4.3 Microman: The Small Giant Comic BomBom manga (19981999).4.2 Microman Secret File Volume 1 catalog and manga (1984).4.1 Microman Kodansha TV Magazine manga. Then there's a Soukyugurentai-style (see entry 258) "lock-on" radar you can activate that will auto-lock your aim on nearby enemies. So then you'll have a Fire button, and if you hold it down you strafe while aiming just one direction. Fortunately they're fully remappable, and in a slick remap UI at that. Microman grew up in the lucha libre, Mexicos colorful brand of professional. ![]() There's some kind of overall success rating that I don't quite fathom, so it is possible to get Game Over before you've run out of Micromen.Ĭontrol is unusual but effective, at least once you remap the buttons. The 19-year-old measures in at one meter (a little over 3 feet) and he chose a name to honor his size: Microman. Generally you stand in the room while the robots come in through the doors, at which point the shooting and the yelling and the explosions commence until one side or the other is wiped out. Then it's on to the next Microman (or Micromen, if you're playing two-player co-op) in the next room. In the game you take troops of Micromen or whatever into various rooms in a base to fight evil robots. Then if your side is still there, a boss robot comes in, and there's more fighting. Microman, of course, was the Takara toy doll series that came to the United States under comic book form (and toys?) as "Micronauts." In the game you take troops of Micromen or whatever into various rooms in a base to fight evil robots. Little Giant Microman super picture book (comic bonbon Special) (1999) ISBN: 4061033298 Japanese Import on. This was the very last PS1 game I was looking for, and I think it's turning out to be worth the long search. ![]()
